Your Surgery

The staff of the McKenzie Surgery Center  is pleased that you and your physician have selected our facility for your surgery or procedure.  You are a valued guest; we will endeavor to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

As we want all aspects of your surgery to go as smoothly as possible, please use this section for instructions on how to prepare for and for what to expect after surgery.

At McKenzie Surgery Center we constantly strive to improve our process and patient experience.  With that in mind we are pleased to present our current Speak Up quality initiative.

To prevent healthcare errors, patients are urged to… Speak Up!

Everyone has a role in making health care safe – physicians, health care executives, nurses and technicians.  Healthcare organizations across the country are working to make healthcare safety a priority.  You, as the patient, can also play a vital role in making your care safe by becoming an active, involved and informed member of your health care team.

Speak up if you have questions about your health or safety concerns.
Pay attention to the care/treatment you are receiving.
Educate yourself about your diagnosis/procedure.
Ask a trusted family member or friend to be your advocate.
Know your medications.
Use a surgery center or other type of health care organization you trust.
Participate in all decisions about your treatment
